Course content
1. Psychology and Media/Communication - Psychology of Communication/Media Psychology. 2. Perception and apercepce - the world as a mental reality / world as communicated representation. Psychological Relativity fact. 3. Cognition, evaluation, habituation, needs. Experience - inside world of subject - and its articulation in communication. 4. Types of behavior - epistemic and enigmatic behavior in communication and culture (Madsen). 5. Temperament and assessment process. Disorder assessment (Harris, Vondráček). 6. Motivation, emotions, feelings, attitudes as an instrument of communication activities. 7. Verbal and nonverbal behavior in communication (understanding, simulation and frustration). 8. Conformity and suggestibility verbalisation mental environment body. (Grác) 9. Child - adult - parent. Berneho unconscious pattern formation (Berne, Harris), the unconscious influence on communication / unconscious communication. 10. Psychogenesis child - Piaget's model of the formation, creation of representation in the mind and the acquisition of language (Rybář). 11. Freud's unconscious pattern. Feminism and antifeminizmus in mass psychology (Horney). Mass psychology and mass communication. 12. Intellect and the fact that the psychological attributes of understanding, experiencing and communicating facts.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to introduce students the basic concepts and problems of psychology of media communications, to get an overview of major psychological theories trelated to the issues of media communications . The course is aimed at understanding psychological mechanisms of perception, evaluation and media exposure different levels (from bilateral communication over mass multimedialisation).
The student will obtain the knowledge about the most important psychological theories related to the communication are.
Prerequisites
Ability to work with specialized texts, including english texts.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Essay

Active participation in the seminar, successful (75%) final test of knowledge, essay and its defense.
