1. Getting to know the current used technologies used in photojournalism 2. Basic photographic processes, forms the record (digital vs. analogous), factors affecting the acquisition of materials (exposure, optical conditions, the impact of technical parameters cameras) 3. Basic procedures for processing materials (digitization of analog captured images, PC-processing and editing digital / digitized images) 4. Types of photomaking - news, reportage, artistic and technical photography 5. Principles, composition and properties appropriate procedures journalistic photography. 6. - 10. Implementation of specific photographic assignment (themes: people, portrait, social issue, event, nature) and their processing and preparation for printing 11. - 12. Learning outcomes
|
The course is designed as a practically oriented workshop in which students in real terms try and verify the existing theoretical knowledge and experience in the field of photojournalism. Attention is focused on the function of photographic image as a specific form of visual information. Students will learn the basic functions of photographic techniques, with emphasis on current digital technology. The course is to master the basic principles of composition and technical shooting conditions. The course is the second part of the training based on various shooting situations with which the photographer in his practice encounters, and the subsequent evaluation of photo materials, acquired by individual participants practice.
Students will acquire practical and professional competences and routines that anable them to work independently in given area and the students will be prepared for the practical part of the final examination.
