Course content
1. Rules and specifications of spoken language in front of microphone and camera 2. Respiratory part of speech (respiration) 3. Phonetic part of speech (fonation) - voice set, mask; principles of vocal hygiene 4. Speech technique - orthophony of Czech sounds 5. Speech technique - orthoepy 6. Speech technique - modulation devices of fluent speech 7. Nonverbal communication: types of nonverbal signals (symbols, illustrators, regulators, adapters) 8. Nonverbal communication: types of nonverbal statement (proxemics, haptics, postures, kinesics, gestures, eye gaze) 9. Introduction to acoustics - sound distribution in interior and exterior, disturbing elements 10. Work with microphone

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Training in job and motor Skils, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
Adoption of spoken language basic techniques and behaviour in front of microphone and camera focused on radio and television journalism. Training and practise of spoken language phrases and movement culture.
Preparation for profession of radio/television moderator, spokesman/spokeswoman, politics

We recommend to pass the following courses before signing in this course: Contemporary Czech language (KZU/SCJB2).
