Course content
1. Concept, principles and objectives of the art education 2. Developmental phases and attributes of the children's creative expression - exhibits and their analyses 3. Creative typology - brief introduction 4. Contemporary concept of art education, objectives, principles and methods of teaching art education, art education diagnostic options 5. Communication with the artwork - practical presentation of methods 6. Art line and project - practical exhibits, exercise of the didactic curriculum transformation into larger integrated unit

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Demonstration, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)

Learning outcomes
The course objective is to provide students with information on the concept, principles and objectives related to art education, developmental phases and attributes of the children's creative expression and creative typology. It focuses on the practical didactic preparation of students for the teaching profession, introduces the contemporary concept of art education, principles and methods of art education teaching. Students learn to analyse children's creative works, utilize methods of communication with the artwork and draw up art lines and projects, they get acquainted with art education diagnostic options.
Students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge into their own teaching practice, preparing art activities with regard to age and other traits of children (with regard to children's stage of development of visual expression), integrate educational content into a whole series or art project, taking advantage of existing didactic knowledge.
Prerequisites
Interest in the subject, basic skills needed to cope with given tasks.

Assessment methods and criteria
Dialog, Seminar Work

Participation in seminars, work according to the teacher's setting. For granting the assessment, it is necessary to submit the seminar work on the theme Analysis of the early children's creative expression. The setting will be specified and updated during consultations.
