Course content
|
Topics: Basic means of expression in drawing (linear drawing, modeling of volume with light and shadow, hatching, washed drawing, perspective imaging) Drawing materials and classical techniques (paper and its properties, dry, wet and combined techniques) Contemporary drawing and individual artistic expression, process drawing in contemporary art Drawing as a personal statement (subjective interpretation of reality, children's artistic expression, symbol and sign) Processual concept of drawing (automatic drawing, concept, working with chance, non-traditional means) Drawing in a pedagogical context (reflection of one's own artistic experience and possibilities of conveying drawing to children)

Learning outcomes
|
COURSE OBJECTIVES: After completing the course, students should be able to: - use basic means of expression in drawing when depicting the subject matter; - apply the basic principles of linear drawing, volume modeling, shading and perspective imaging; - choose and combine drawing materials and techniques with regard to the nature of the artistic intention; - observe and analyze basic shape, proportion, spatial and light relationships and convert them into a drawing record; - use drawing not only as a means of depicting reality, but also as a tool for personal, symbolic and conceptual expression; - experiment with procedural approaches to drawing; - reflect on their own creative process and interpret their own artistic outputs; - understand basic traditional and contemporary approaches to drawing using examples of selected artistic work; - use their own experience with drawing when considering the possibilities of its mediation to children in kindergarten and the first stage of primary school.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Analysis of Creative works (Music, Pictorial,Literary)
Regular attendance at classes 80%, continuous fulfillment of assigned art assignments, independent creative work. Submission of own set of art works. ISP requirements: Regular consultations, participation in seminars at least 50% Completed partial assignments, personal consultations at least 2 times per semester during the seminar period.
