Course content |
Topics: State - its features and functions. Historical and contemporary types of states. History of constitutionality in the Czech lands. Basic parts and most important provisions of the Constitution of the Czech Republic. Democracy - its principles and forms. Civil rights and obligations. Civil society and political life in the state. Elections and electoral systems.

Learning outcomes |
At the end of the course, students - future teachers of citizenship education and social sciences - will be able to: "to define the role of the constitution in modern states and specifically in the Czech Republic, "explain the possibilities of a citizen to participate in events in the municipality, region and state, "distinguish and compare historical and contemporary types of states and their forms of government, "to analyze and evaluate the basic types of electoral systems in general, "to outline a brief history of constitutionality in the Czech lands.

Creating a presentation for a learning project, proposals for other learning projects, participation in seminars, self-study and preparation of materials for credit In the case of ISPs: 30% participation in classes creating a presentation for a learning project comments on other learning projects |
