Course content
Political developments in Europe in the 20th century. Formation of civil society. Nation-states. First and Second World War. Totalitarian regimes of the 20th century. Historical development of Europe in the second half of the 20th century. The culture of the 20th century.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
  • Attendace - 14 hours per semester
  • Semestral Work - 8 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 5 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able to: "Explain the basic problems and phenomena of European history of the 20th century, "Working with selected historical sources of the 20th century, "Characterize the main features of the cultural and economic development in Europe during the 20th century, "Understand and explain the transformation of European society in the 20th century.
Interpretation of the major events of general history.
