Course content

Creating a curriculum in private ownership, ON, SES. Familiarization with projects dealing with intercultural education and multiculturalism. Project neighbors. National minorities in the Czech Lands from 1918 to the present. Communication with minorities, resolving ethnic conflict. Minorities in the Czech Republic. Foreigners in the Czech Republic. Manifestations of extremism. The themes and objectives of cross-curricular subject Multicultural Education.

Learning outcomes
|
After completing the course, students should be able to: "To describe the theory of nationalism, multiculturalism, incl. Orientation in basic terms, "To describe the problems of minorities in the Czech lands after 1918 to the present, "Develop the ability to recognize and tolerate otherness and be able to lead the pupils and, "Create adequate learning tasks to individual topics of RVP RVP Z and G training "Thematic units to analyze cross-curricular subject Multicultural Education at primary and secondary schools.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Seminar Work
Within the contact teaching, students will clarify the issue of national minorities in the Czech Lands from 1918 to the present, the issue of the rise of extremism and the issue of migration. The corresponding task: Elaboration of essay on a given topic, which will be sent by e-mail. Homework will consist in the study of literature.
