Learning outcomes
Emphasis in the course is placed on students' independent work and their ability to connect acquired knowledge and the theoretical foundations developed through lectures and self-study with approaches to ethics, everyday moral dilemmas, and decision-making. During seminars, students work in groups to prepare and deliver didactically designed teaching outputs on selected ethical topics. In preparing and reflecting on these outputs, they work with jointly clarified criteria, provide and receive peer feedback, and reflect on their own learning and teaching processes. In addition to disciplinary knowledge, the course therefore also deliberately develops professional competences in the areas of assessment, feedback, and reflection on learning (KRAAU 4.1-4.3).
- characterize the main ethical movements, theories, and selected representatives in their historical and social contexts; - explain the key concepts, foundations, and arguments of selected ethical theories and compare their approaches to moral issues; - apply selected ethical theories and forms of argumentation to contemporary moral dilemmas and situations involving human action; - didactically mediate a selected ethical topic with regard to the intended learning objective; - formulate and use clear and comprehensible criteria in assessment, self-assessment, and peer assessment; - provide and receive specific, respectful, and actionable feedback that supports further learning; - reflect on their own learning and teaching practice and formulate further steps for improvement.
