Samo's Empire and Great Moravia. Czech state in 10th-12th century. Czech state over the past Přemyslovců. Czech state during the reign of the Luxemburg. Husitství. Czech lands during George of Podebrady and Jagelović. Advent to power of the Habsburgs. Czech uprising, the Thirty Years War and the period pobělohorsky. Czech country at the time of enlightened absolutism. The Habsburg monarchy at the time of the French Revolution and the Napoleonic wars. Czech National Revival. Revolutionary years 1848-1849.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, students will be able to: - Explain basic problems of Czech medieval and modern history, - Analyze the most important written sources of medieval and modern Czech history, - Understand and explain the phenomena associated with economic and social development of the Czech Lands in the Middle Ages and Modern Times, - Characterize the cultural development of the Czech lands in the 19th century,
Interpretation of major events in Czech history in the period.
