This course follows the elective course Comparative constitutional law. Students will engage in detail with constitutional systems of selected countries in comparative perspective, study their specific constitutional problems and write a comparative paper. In classes, students will analyze constitutional problems of selected countries based on readings assigned by teachers. Students will also choose their own topic of research for their paper, gradually prepare the outline of their paper, present it in class, and based on feedback, they will finalize it and submit it. This course will focus on constitutional systems of neighboring countries, post-Soviet countries, Balkan countries, African countries and Arabic countries, with emphasis on recent constitutional problems connected to human rights, constitutional review or horizontal and vertical separation of powers.
Students will acquire deeper knowledge of comparative constitutional law and apply the comparative method in their research. |
