Learning outcomes
The subject taught in English provides students with introduction to comparative law in the area of constitutional law. Students will learn basics of comparative legal method, the model forms of government present in EU countries will be addressed, as well as the horizontal and vertical system of separation of powers, fundamental rights, judicial review and constitutional elements of European integration.
Student after successful completing subject - will be able to carry out comparative analysis of different legal systems and their components - use outcomes of the comparison for practical purposes. - have basic command of constitutional systems of EU countries, their typical features, as well as most important institutions of constitutional law in comparative perspective. - will be aware of ideas and values protected by constitutional law. The course gives to the students a comprehensive overview of the rules and institutes of constitutional Law in European Countries.
Prerequisites
Completion of this course is not conditional upon completion of some other courses.

For successful completion of the course the students are required to participate in lectures and to pass a written test.
