Learning outcomes
The course is a core subject forming the third pillar of the study programme, focusing on the development of professional skills and general abilities of the student, specifically on the student's ability to present the acquired knowledge and skills in a scientific text or in a professional scientific forum. The course is designed as a four-semester course, with the demands of student performance in the course increasing as the semesters progress. The course is designed for students specializing in the field of constitutional Law. During the semester, the student is required to choose a topic for his/her scientific paper in cooperation with his/her lecturer (to identify the problem to be solved) and to prepare the scientific paper in such a way that it is eligible for presentation at a scientific conference (ability to present the solution to the chosen problem). Active participation in the conference includes the written version of the paper and its publication in the conference proceedings. In case the conference proceedings will not be prepared, this obligation may be waived after agreement with the lecturer. Considering that this is the third, i.e. second to last, year of the study programme, the student is required to demonstrate continuous progress in the dissertation in order to advance to the next year. To successfully complete the course, the student is required to prepare and submit to his/her lecturer a comprehensive dissertation passage of at least 30 pages of text.
Students who have completed this course will gain the knowledge necessary to understand the features of law.
