Course content
|
During the semester will be presented following topics: Culture and its ethnologic a sociological point of view; definition of culture. Culture and religion. Culture and Christianity. Culture and theology. Biblical roots of Christian mission. Influence of ancient and medieval mission on formation of European culture and awareness. Past and present of missions on certain continents (Asia, Africa, America). Confessional interpreted missions (catholic, protestant and orthodox missions) and ecumenism. Geographic and historical correlation of Christianity and unchristian religions in the second half of the 20th century. Theology of religion and interreligious dialogue. Process of globalization and its relationship with European Christianity.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the Christian culture and Christian missions in the developing countries.
Explain the basic knowledge of Christianity, interpret the missionary mission of the Church, critically assess models of inculturation and missionary mission of the Church; to compare the unstable stages of the Church's missionary mission.
