Troubles of sharing faith at present time; Art as the language of contemporary evangelization; Symbolic theology and the basis of Christian iconography; Basic issues of iconoclasm; The chapel Redemptoris Mater as the example of sharing the mystery of faith; The tombstone of Cardinal Tomáš Špidlík as the communication of faith; Art and beauty as the meaning of Christian formation for restoration of missionary work of the Church.

Learning outcomes
|
Explanation of the meaning of iconographic language and systematic evaluation of "picture - word" in relation to faith according to the Church tradition. The introduction to spiritual reading of picture as the meaning of presenting faith and effective pastoration of both believers and unbelievers in the contact with art that forms the part of the Church.
Students will acquire basic knowledge on the spiritual and pastoral meaning of iconographic language at present. They will be presented the problems of iconoclastic tendencies reflected in spiritual life and the meaning of beauty for new evangelization.
