- Knowledge of different approaches to information - Familiarity with the broader understanding of information theory, which includes information gathering, classification, transmission, filtering, retrieval, copying, evaluation. - Understanding the relationship of information to the concepts of crisis and communication
Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, the graduate is able to: - understand the basic concepts related to information, - compare historical manifestations of the use of information, - explain the impact of information on the development of society, on communication and on crises, - apply and creatively use the acquired knowledge in their lives, especially in communication. - The evolution of information technology - Information transmission and noise - Systems and automation - Implications of the information age - Information ecology and ethics

Prerequisites

The student organizes his/her studies based on the study materials and instructions in the LMS; he/she participates in the announced tutorials and completes continuous short tests (approximately 4).

Assessment methods and criteria
|

In order to receive credit, the student must successfully complete the interim tests. The exam consists of two parts: a written paper and an oral part, and the student can choose from several options for the focus and ratio between these parts. The topic of the written paper will be agreed with the teacher.
