Follows on from Translation of Specialized Texts I. II. The exercises focus on learning basic translation techniques (compensation, addition, and omission) using specific texts of various functional styles (especially journalistic and technical), applying different types of equivalence, with an emphasis on methods of translating terms, terminological phrases, and verbal phrases. It is also necessary to point out the importance of word order in terminological phrases. The importance of extralinguistic factors in creating speech meaning is emphasized, which is one of the basic features of the communicative functional approach in theory and practice. Translation techniques are learned within the thematic areas of economics, finance, banking, administration, and legal texts, whose terminology and vocabulary students gradually absorb. There is also room for topics of a diverse and current nature, particularly in the fields of culture, medicine, European relations, politics, and history.
