1. Social life. Common phrases: greeting, addressing someone, expressing gratitude, apology, introducing oneself, invitation, visit, saying good-bye, congratulations. 2. Family: relationships, marriage, wedding, children. 3. Housing: flat, family house, dormitory. 4. Personal data: physical appearance, age, education, hobbies. 5. Time and place. Days, weeks, months, seasons. 6. Working week and weekend. Description of activities. 7. Physical appearance: shape and features of one?s face, figure. 8. Clothes and fashion. Styles of dressing and every day life. Festive clothes. 9. Human character. Vices and virtues. 10. Studies and plans for the future. 11. Job, kinds of professions. 12. Free time. Holidays. 13. Credit test.

Learning outcomes
|
This practical course is focused on the systematic functional acquisition of Ukrainian language both in written and spoken form and on Ukrainian realia. We shall converse on selected topics from our every day life. The goal of this course is to develop the students´ communicative competence in Ukrainian. The vocabulary will be broadened due to dealing with special situational dialogues. We shall work with various language material from both Czech and Ukrainian Internet. We shall also use audio and video records to motivate and stimulate the students.
An ability to talk about most basic topics.

This course is designed for beginners and we shall start with the most basic vocabulary.
