Course content
|
1) Semantics of the term "theology"; the original meaning of the term and his ingression into the Christianism. 2) Theology as a "sacra doctrina" (Th. Aquinas) and the critics of the scholastic concept of theology. 3) Models of theology in history since the patristic period until the renewed theological method as a fruit of the Vatican Council II.

Learning outcomes
|
This course seeks to introduce students of Catholic Theology into the inner logic of the "science of faith" which the Christian theology wants to be. The course introduces students into the terminological and historical achievement of the term "theology", mainly through the study of historical "models of theology".
Students will be introduced into the term of theology in its historical development during the centuries of Christianity.

Oral exam, Student performance
Attendance at lectures (absences up to 25 per cent of teaching time are permitted). Students must pass an oral examination on the material covered in lectures and on supplementary reading, and be able to apply the knowledge gained in their further study of theology.
