Course content
The course is scheduled as follows: 1. Biblical witness to vocation of disciples by Jesus; the term "ekklesia" in the Holy Scripture. 2. Historical-sociological overlook on the process of christian communities`s forming, in accordance to the 1 John 1,1 vers: "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touchedthis we proclaim concerning the Word of life." 3. The relationship between charism and institution in the life of the Church. 4. Christian theology of religious pluralism 5. Christianism and culture/science

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course, designed as the II. part of the Fundamental Theology, is to introduce students into the fundamental-theological overview of the reality of christian communities`s life; this course will deep student`s understanding of the Church existence as a sacramental "presence" of the (personal) "absence" of the Christ on the Church history. In accordance with the method of "ecclesiology of below" the phenomenon of the Church is studied as a reality developing from the mystery of the Triune God (ecclesia ex Trinitate) in its historic realization (ecclesia ex hominibus) where its sacramental structure develops the preaching of the Jesus Christ (1 John 1, 1-4).
Students will be able to both understand and "to give the reason for the hope" (comp. 1 Pt 3,15) of the Church reality in the history of salvation.
