Phonetics and phonology The discipline provides general information on fundamental notions and concepts of phonology, in particular from the structuralist point of view. Some information on morphonology and modern phonetics, their interdisciplinary nature is presented, too. Lexicology The discipline provides an overview of the issues of lexical semasiology and onomasiology and account of the relations of the lexical subsystem and other language subsystems. In comparative Russian-Czech point of view, development tendencies in the lexicon of both languages, their motivation and types are investigated. Some issues of wordformation and lexicography are studied, too. Morphology Both the lecture and seminar are focused on the issues of general morphology with respect to Slavonic languages (in partial comparison with other language groups) and on the issues of morhonological semantics (morhonological categories, morhonological meaning). Namely, the most attention is paid to diffeŕentiation of morhological units with respect to units of lower and higher subsystems, furthermore, to the issues of definition of parts of speech and issues of individual grammar categories. Syntax Both the lecture and seminar deal with the advanced theoretical phenomena of syntax in Russian-Czech and Czech-Russian comparative point of view. The following matters are underlined: different consept of some syntactic categores in Russian and Czecg grammar tradition, e.g. concept and number of secondary sentence members, phrase vs. syntagm, classification of composite sentences etc.
Detailed knowledge of the individual language levels and systems, their units in comparative Russian-Czech and Czech-Russian point of view, with respect to peculiarities of Slavonic languages.
