Course content
Discussing texts dealing with the same topic/genre (Russian, Czech, English). Colloquial Czech in text - transfer into Russian, English. Expresivity in Russian, Czech and English texts. Politeness in Russian, Czech and English texts. Newspaper style - title, advertisement in Czech, Russian, English. Allusions in text - Czech, Russian, English. Parallel texts as a source of translation shifts.

Learning outcomes
The discipline is derived from KSR/7SRST. The aim is to cultivate students´ work with text and their interpretation of complex language phenomena.
Ability to perceive and evaluate stylistic phenomena in Russian and Czech texts in a complex way.
