Learning outcomes
|
Students will complete a 3-week field practice in a translating agency of their own choice. This will permit them to examine their knowledge acquired in the theoretical course and will provide them with a valuable experience in translating practice. After the field practice they will submit a form (Výkaz popisu provedených činností a úkolů) which confirms their activities. Students are also asked to submit their own translation of at least 20 standard pages (Russian to Czech or vice versa), together with a glossary of terms and an analytical commentary on the specific linguistic issues.
Students will examine their knowledge acquired in the theoretical courses and will get familiar with translator's practice.
