This course is a continuation course to the previous two series of lectures. The introductory lessons are dedicated to revision of material discussed in the previous courses, after which we shall continue to deal with another part of speech ? the verb. We shall begin to discuss the typology of verb forms, classification of Russian verbs, and conjugation of productive and non-productive verbs. From the grammar categories we shall pay special attention to the category of voice and the process of perfectization and imperfectization, we shall talk about the Russian prefixes used with verbs and their meaning, reflexive verbs and creating the imperative and past tense forms. We shall also dedicate some time to deverbative nouns and to point out the differences between Russian and Czech deverbatives. We shall consistently apply the functional systematic approach and compare the Russian and Czech systems in order to avoid interference.
Awareness of verbal categories, conjugation of productive and non-productive verbs, production of imperative forms and past tense forms.
