Course content
- the basic principles and the current form of practical foreign policy of the Czech Republic in relation to the countries of the post-Soviet space - tourism potential of the post-Soviet space (except Russia) - translation and transcription of toponyms (not only) from Russian into Czech and vice versa - practical procedure for organising a tour for a large group of people, including the preparation of a programme and interpretation in Russian / consecutive interpretation for tourists

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)
  • Homework for Teaching - 25 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
At the seminar, learners will learn about: - the basic principles and current form of practical foreign policy of the Czech Republic in relation to the countries of the post-Soviet space, as well as the key tendencies of political and social development in selected countries of these widely perceived and often neglected areas. - with the tourism potential of the post-Soviet space (except Russia). - with the translation and transcription of toponyms (not only) from Russian into English. - with the practical procedure of organizing a tour for a large group of people, including the preparation of a program and interpretation in Russian / consecutive interpretation for tourists, etc.
Students will gain knowledge and experience in translating texts of guidebooks and interpreting excursions in a town.
Prerequisites
A practical knowledge of Russian, at least B1 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages. Having completed the courses POT 1 and POT 2.

Oral exam, Written exam
