Learning outcomes
|
Psycholinguistics and sociolinguistics, Cognitive Linguistics, Pragmalinguistics and Text Linguistics. The lecture is dedicated to the modern broad interdisciplinary sciences which can enrich the theoretical knowledge acquired by the studies of the traditional linguistic disciplines. The course deals with the communicative linguistics, which is focused on the function of language in a concrete speech act and the psychological and social aspects involved in speech production. The course aims to present the students with a broader context of change of the linguistic paradigm caused by the application of anthropocentrism and interpretative approach to language. Students will also get familiar with the fundamental schools of cognitive linguistics and the terminology and key terms and methods of the new approach to linguistic research (e.g. concept, conceptualization, methaporization, mental processes, language reflection of the reality, key word). The conception of prominent representatives of Russian and Czech text linguistics are critically approached in the context of world text linguistics. We shall focus on the concept of text, its structure and borders as well as on interpretation of discourse and analysis of these constitutional categories of text.
An insight into selected interdisciplinary approaches to language studies as well as insight into the changes of linguistic paradigm. An ability to grasp language phenomena in a broader way.

Prerequisites
|
A practical knowledge of Russian, at least B2 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages, deep knowledge of general linguistics and its separate language disciplines (Phonetics, Phonology, Lexicology, Morphology and Syntax).
