Course content
|
In individual tutorials, the following topics will be covered: topic analysis and designing a working plan, principles of working with scholarly resources (citation etc.), principles of treatment of the primary material, collection and evaluation of primary material, principles of writing scholarly texts, revising the text with respect to the supervisor´s feedback.

Learning outcomes
|
The practical seminar consists of induvidual tutorials of the student and his/ her diploma thesis supervisor. Students learn how to treat a scholarly text (critical study, citation) and practise methods of work at various stages of diploma thesis preparation - qualifying the issues, collecting data, formal requirements, formal style of scholarly theses.
Knowledge of methodology of writing diploma thesis, ability to use and refer to academic resources as well as primary material of research (critical evaluation, discussion, reflection, text revision). The student is able to compile theoretical chapters of the diploma thesis.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance
Compiling and submitting the theoretical part of the student´s diploma thesis - as a min. 25 pages.
