Learning outcomes
|
This practical course is focused on the use of English in the every day professional communication in the business sphere (facts about a company, employment, trends, finance). Students shall get familiar with the basic knowledge of business correspondence in English (typical phrases, structure, basic genres). We expect the students to have an advanced knowledge of English as we shall discuss only selected grammatical problems (e.g. the passive voice, phrasal verbs, derivation).
After completing this course students will be able to express themselves adequately in written business communication in the basic genres, they will be able to communicate both actively and passively (listening, reading) about the topics of corporation, profession or tendencies in economy.

Prerequisites
|
The student is expected to have completed the preceding course KSR/7AOS1, i.e. to have accquired a higher-intermediate/ advanced level of mastering English with good knowledge of business English.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Written exam
attendance (max. 2 absenses) passing the tests during the term submitting a course work passing the final credit test passing the exam (covering 2 terms 7AOS1, 7AOS2)
