Course content
4. The latest theories in the contemporary Russian linguistics in comparison with the Czech, Polish or Ukrainian linguistics. Choice according to specialization. 6. The eminent personalities of Russian linguistics in the 20th and 21st century and Evaluation of their contribution to the development of Slavic / European linguistics. Choice according to specialization. 7. Cognitive theories in the Russian linguistics in comparison with the Czech, Polish, Ukrainian linguistics and their contribution. 12. Neologisms in the contemporary Russian language in comparison with the state of affairs in the Czech, Polish or Ukrainian language. Choice according to specialization. 13. Varieties of contemporary Russian language in non-fiction texts in comparison with the Czech, Polish or Ukrainian language. Choice according to specialization. 14. The language of the contemporary Russian journalistic style in comparison with the Slavic languages (journalistic style in the Czech, Polish or Ukrainian language). Choice according to specialization. 15. Issues of contemporary Russian language from the point of view of its stylistic functions in comparison with the Slavic languages (Czech, Polish or Ukrainian). Choice according to specialization.

Learning outcomes
The Course "Issues of Russian linguistics" will cover the development and contemporary Russian linguistics and its disciplines, organization of linguistic researches, the prominent representatives of Russian linguistics, synthesis and monographs and the contribution of Russian linguistics to the Slavonic linguistic context.
In this course, the postgraduate students will deepen their knowledge of content and the methods in linguistic reseraches.
Prerequisites
Excellent knowledge of linguistics corresponding to the Master degree in Russian philology.
