Course content
The target groupe of this course are students from the first block. This one-term course puts focus on theoretical approaches of translation with respect to the accompanying and consecutive translation.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)
Learning outcomes
This course will cover the basic terminology, the historical development of translation and interpretation and the development of translatology.
The students will acquire competences as stated in the syllabus.
Prerequisites
To be able to read and process the academic papers written in Polish and Czech, basic knowledge of Polish, excellent knowledge of Czech.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Active attendance; to submit one essay on a selected topic; to succeed in the pre-exam credit test.
