Learning outcomes
|
This course serves as a general theoretical introduction to translation. Students become familiar with basic terminology from translatology, the evolution of translatology as an independent discipline since its beginning to the linguistic-translatological and literary theories of the 20th century.
The student will learn the basics of Czech terminology, history of the discipline and translation strategies; he/she will gradually attain basic communication skills and basic ability to analyse a translated text.

- Participation in lectures with a maximum absence of 2 lessons per semestre - Individual lecture of translatological literature (essays and articles) with an extension of 20 pages - Successful passing of the exam (colloquium)
