Course content
Translation approaches are mastered within the framework of the thematic wholes of business, technology and the law. An active mastery of vocabulary and of typological differences between Czech and Polish is assumed.

Learning outcomes
The exercises focus on the mastery of translation approaches to concrete texts in various functional styles and on the application of various kinds of equivalency with an emphasis placed on the translation of special terms.
The abililty to analyze a text, understand its specifics and adequately transfer its content from the original language to the target language and vice versa.
Prerequisites
An excellent knowledge of the Polish and Czech language and having already visited the prerequisite courses.

Student performance, Analyssis of the Student's Portfolio

Positive results of sectional written translations, 80% participation in lectures and seminars, submission of the final portfolio of translations after proofreading.
