Course content
General rules for writing letters. Personal questionnaire. Curriculum Vitae (CV). Cover letter. Informative/advertising letter. Request for quotation. Offer (counterproposals and concessions (negotiations), rejection of offer). Order (confirmation/cancellation of order). VAT invoice. Taxes in Poland. Complaint (response to complaint). Payment reminder.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the linguistic, stylistic, and formal requirements of business correspondence. It introduces specific forms that students may encounter in their professional practice, including personal questionnaires, resumes (CVs), cover letters, informational/advertising letters, business offers, orders, invoices, and complaints. Attention is paid to the differences between the Czech and Polish business environments, with an emphasis on the differences between Czech and Polish norms.
An ability to define the problem from the thematic point of view and to formulate it in adequate language.
Prerequisites
Very good knowledge of the Polish and Czech language standard of the administrative style.

Written exam
