1. Psychology of sport - content, classification, related areas 2. Personality of a sports teacher (coach, lecturer, instructor) 4. Personality in stress situations - current mental conditions, frustration, stress, burn-out syndrome, reaction to failure, defence mechanisms, aggression 5. Structure and dynamics of a sports group, specifics of work with a sports group (leisure activities, performance and professional sport) 6. Exercise psychology, fitness-wellness, lifestyle, motivation for exercising, perception of own body (body image), dependence on exercise as a primary disorder 7. Mental hygiene and psychological preparation

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to present basic information about the application of psychological knowledge in the area of physical education, physical recreation, performance and professional sport, and about the application of knowledge of kinanthropology and kinesiology in the area of mental diagnostics and mental therapy. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
The student understands basic principles influencing the behaviour and experiencing in stress situations associated with physical activity. The student is able to apply psychological knowledge in the context of physical exercise (recreation, performance and professional sport). The student is motivated for further learning in the area as a part of lifelong education.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Analyssis of the Student's Portfolio, Seminar Work
Participation in lectures, seminars - completion of assignments. Record of practice sessions with interpretations (credit).
