Course content
1. Introduction to Counseling 2. Lifespan psychology approach - Stages Of Psychosocial Development (Erik Erikson) 3. Healthy lifestyle/quality of life 4. Effective counseling skills and client oriented approach (Carl Rogers) 5. Attending in counseling 6. Reflecting, paraphrasing and summaring in counseling 7. Questioning in counseling 8. Focusing, immediacy, building rapport, silence in counseling 9. Video interaction guidance - principal of attuned communication - theory of attachment 10. Benefits and limits of counseling in outdoor/nature and practical activities 11. Counseling project (each person will be part of a counseling project) 12. Lesson plans 13. Student presentation

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Methods of Written Work, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)

Learning outcomes
Aim of the course is to provide insight and understanding of counseling in physical education, sport and recreation. Students will learn about how to help other people, as well as themselves, in relation to three main areas of physical activities.
Students understand the basics of counseling in physical education, sport and recreation. Students see each person as a unique individual and therefore they perceive an individual approach in helping other people, as well as themselves, in relation to three main areas of physical activities.
Prerequisites
Curiosity, openness to new experiences, and an interest in the course content.

Dialog, Systematic Observation of Student, Seminar Work

1. Active participation in 80% of lectures and seminars 2. Assignments in Moodle 3. Pecha Kucha presentation of counseling project to improve (or enrich) a lifestyle quality of somebody else 4. Lesson plans
