Learning outcomes
|
This course addresses key issues that will help students develop their academic writing and reading skills in the context of migration processes. It introduces key concepts and general skills related to academic reading and writing. The course focuses on the following topics: - Academic Writing: Organizing and Processing Field/Research Notes - Academic writing: Understanding academic writing and its jargon - Academic writing: Text structure, creating an outline - Academic writing: Methodology, abstract - Academic writing: Discussion - Academic writing: Citing sources etc.
Students will master key concepts and specific academic skills related to the process of academic writing and reading within the context of their field of study.

The ability to read academic texts in English.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Seminar Work
Active participation in the tutorial. Completion of the seminar paper according to the instructions on Moodle.
