Learning outcomes
The course introduces the students into basic principals and practical use of chosen methods of multivariate statistical analysis. It is focused on factor analysis, cluster analysis, correspondence analysis and multidimensional scaling.
Students will acquire basic knowledge of multivariate analytical techniques used in quantitative social research, understand their principles and possibilities of their use. They are able to understand texts using these techniques. They are able to use some of these procedures themselves for data analysis (eg in their diploma theses).
Prerequisites
Completion of basic statistical data analysis course (SAD in Palacky University or similar in other universities).

Student performance, Seminar Work

The course requires basic skills with the STATISTICA software or IBM SPSS.
