Course content
A brief history of the field. Definition of the subject of psychology. Methods of investigating the psyche. Consciousness, disorders of consciousness. Attention, attention disorders. Cognitive mental processes and their disorders - perception, imagination, fantasy, memory, thinking. Basic concepts of learning. Affective mental events.

Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Group work
  • Homework for Teaching - 10 hours per semester

  • Attendace - 25 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course provides an explanation of the basic categories of general psychology, the history of the field, and its primary goals and methods.
- the student knows basic psychological trends - the student can list the partial forms of individual psychological processes - the student can search for psychological knowledge published in books, magazines and electronic sources - the student recognizes positive personal potential as well as critical pitfalls in the area of own psychological states - the student can work creatively with individual psychological information on an elementary level
