Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with key concepts of social theory. It will deal with the definition of concepts such as social structure, social behavior and social worlds and their relations. Furthermore, by studying the behavior of social groups and collective action in its various forms. The discipline deals with the analysis of human behavior in the context of social groups and the possibilities of its investigation (especially field research), insights into human behavior through society, social system and social structure. The discipline acquaints students with the forms of societies, man as a social being as a part of social relations, with social structure, formation of social groups, with their types, and with selected aspects of social life. It is concluded by information on the possibilities of exploring the social life of groups.
Student is able to describe the process of socialization and the importance of social life. The student can explain the form of social structure and typology of social groups. He/she can interpret basic aspects of social life, apply basic terminology, propose basic possibilities of social group research with respect to selected topics.
