Course content
Theory of managerial decision making Identification and formulation of DMP, situational analysis, DMP decomposition, determining the causes of DMP (DMP - decision making problem) Multicriteria decision making - the criteria, variants, consequences Multicriteria decision making - methods Implementation of chosen variant - planning process, CPM, Gantt chart Group decision making Psychological limits of decision making Current aspects of management - knowledge economy, intercultural aspects Current aspects of management - ICT, virtualization, collective intelligence, social networking

Learning outcomes
The course deals with the theory and practice of managerial decision making and selected managerial technics in the context of the management of educational institutions. The aim of the course is mastering of selected managerial technics, particularly in the phase of decision making in actual economic, social and technological conditions.
After completing the course, students will be able to: - characterize selected managerial techniques - suggest possibilities how to use different techniques in the different phases of the managerial process - consider the current managerial environment and to apply selected managerial skills - identify and define decision problem, set the solution alternatives, to define the criteria and to chose the best solution - manage a project to realize a decision and to use appropriate tools - defence managerial decision
