Course content
The course will consist of 10 to 12 meetings.: The last class of the course will consist of a final recapitulation and a test.

Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Demonstration, Projection (static, dynamic)
Learning outcomes
The course aims at providing basic insight of the problems of Judaism in general and of the problems which are connected to it. Judaism and Jewishness will be studied and also a brief profile of the creation and development of the Jewish thinking, traditions and customs will be treated. However the topic of contemporary practical Judaism will be stressed.
Finishing this course, the students should get an objective point of view of the development of Judaism, the Jewish culture and the secular Judaism. They should also acquire a basic overview of the Jewish holidays, customs and of the Jewish culture in the Czech lands.
Prerequisites
The course introduces the subject of Judaism especially to the students of the first year of the Jewish Studies and Religious studies. However, any other students interested in the topic will be welcome to the course.
