1. Terminology - forced migration, international protection 2. The legislative and institutional framework for forced migration in the Czech Republic, the EU, and globally 3. Case studies of forced migration in the Czech Republic/EU and outside the EU

Learning outcomes
|
The objectives of the course are: a) to deepen understanding of the causes and consequences of forced migration b) to familiarize participants with the procedural and legislative framework for international protection in the Czech Republic and the EU c) to examine case studies of forced migration in the Czech Republic and around the world.
The ability to understand written text in English (professional articles, book chapters) is assumed.

Completion of the course "Forced Migration and Refugees" is a prerequisite.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Seminar Work
A prerequisite for receiving a grade is the submission of a seminar paper written in English.
