Learning outcomes |
Applied anthropology is an established and developing discipline abroad. Its aim is to use anthropological approach to research and propose measures in the field of cultural coexistence and social cohesion. Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquaint students with foreign approaches and to demonstrate the possibilities of applied anthropology using yet modest examples from the Czech Republic.
Students will understand the differences between applied and basic research; will know basic research methods and approaches in applied anthropology; be able to evaluate the potential benefits and ethical risks of a particular applied research; will be able to design their own applied research. |
