Course content
1. Development of education sciences. 2. Origin and development of andragogy in the Czech Republic and abroad. 3. Character of Andragogy. 4. Subject of andragogy. 5. Factors of andragogic intervention. 6. Subject of andragogic intervention. 7. Object of andragogic intervention. 8. Approaches to object in andragogy. 9. Action fields of andragogy. 10. Terminological context and context of educational action environment. 11. Function of adult education in society. 12. Current trends in andragogy.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the discipline is to acquaint students with the basic categories of andragogy in the concept of adult education, to present andragogy in the science system and to analyze its basic characteristics.
After completing the course, students will be able to explain key concepts of andragogy, situate adult education in social-scientific contexts, compare selected approaches to adult learning and discuss current issues in adult education.
Prerequisites
Basic orientation in social sciences and willingness to work with academic texts in adult education. No formal prerequisite is required.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Seminar Work

Active participation in seminars, reading of assigned texts, preparation for discussions and submission of a seminar paper or essay according to the teacher's instructions. Aktivní účast na seminářích, čtení zadaných textů, příprava na diskuse a odevzdání seminární práce nebo eseje podle pokynů učitele.
