Course content
The following thematic sections will be covered in the course: 1. Structure of Spanish educational system 2. Common European Framework of Reference (learning, teaching, evaluation) 3. Reference levels 4. Planning the teaching units 5. Project education 6. DELE (Diploma de Espanol como Lengua Extranjera) 7. Spanish textbooks 8. New technologies employed in teaching foreign languages 9. History of the Spanish educational system 10. Methodological approaches and didactic models in the course of history 11. Psycholinguistics and its relation to teaching foreign languages 12. Advantages of communicative approach and its employment in practice 13. Terms of error, falta and interlengua. 14. Linguistic interference in teaching Spanish to Czechs 15. Literature, theatre and cinematography employed in teaching Spanish 16. Teaching foreign languages in the 21st century

Learning outcomes
The purpose of this course is to make the students familiar with methodology of teaching Spanish as a foreign language. The course is divided into several modules, each of which is subject to individual evaluation so that the students can continuously fix their attainments and manifest their teaching skills when conducting their own classes.
1. Understanding the workings of Spanish educational system. Differences between Spanish and Czech system. 2. Understanding the principles of the Common European Framework of Reference and its employment in practice of teaching 3. Ability to work with didactic terminology in Spanish. 4. Ability to organize a whole course in Spanish language based on planning the teaching units and project education 5. Understanding the methodological approaches and didactic models in the course of history. 6. Understanding the principles of psycholinguistics and its relation to teaching foreign languages. 7. Ability to work with didactic terminology in Spanish. 8. Ability to teach Spanish by the principles of communicative approach.
Prerequisites
High level of Spanish.
