Course content
|
The aim of the course is to provide a clear understanding of the history of Spanish cinema and to give the student a general overview. Each lesson will focus on one topic - we will primarily follow cinema within its historical chronological development (i.e. from the end of the 19th century to the present), always taking into account the historical and political context. At the same time, we will also be interested in other topics (propaganda, genre film). The explanation will also emphasize some of the important figures of Spanish cinema (e.g. Bunuel, Saura or Almodóvar). The explanation will also be expanded to include the literary context (adaptation of famous works, active participation of writers in the film industry). Each lesson will be accompanied by illustrative examples from selected films
