Course content
The course deals with the word classes in Spanish (nouns, adjectives, pronouns, numerals, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions and interjections) with emphasis on specifics of their grammatical categories and use in Spanish. The seminars focus on practical knowldege of more difficult grammar phenomena: formation of feminine gender and plural in less common or formally unusual words; use of definite article; formation of deverbal adjectives and of superlatives of less common adjectives and adverbs; combinations of verb forms with clitic pronouns; formation of ordinal numbers; forms of irregular verbs; formation of participles; mening and use of verbal circumlocutions; prepositional word combinations; meaning and use of connectors and interjections.

Learning outcomes
Classes focus on acquiring knowledge about parts of speech with emphasis on the specifics of their grammatical categories in Spanish. The seminars focus on the practical knowledge of more difficult grammar phenomena.
Students will acquire knowledge about the form and functions of word classes in Spanish, allowing them to understand correctly and produce grammatically correct and inteligible utterances in the Spanish language.
Prerequisites
Having passed linguistic subjects of the 1st year of Spanish Philology. It is possible to register for the exam of MOS2 only after having passed the test and obtaining credits of MOS1.
