Learning outcomes
|
The topic of this course is the history of the Portuguese literature from the Baroque up to the so-called Generation of the 1870s. The attention is paid to the works of the most important authors of respective periods (P. António Vieira, Bocage, Almeida Garrett, Camilo Castelo Branco, Júlio Dinis, Eça de Queirós etc.). During the seminars, students analyse selected texts of the most important authors in Portuguese.
Students will gain an overview of the development of Portuguese literature from the Baroque period to the so-called Generation of the 1870s.
