Course content
1. Complex conditional - rules 2. Complex conditional - usage 3. Conditional realis clauses 4. Conditional irrealis clauses 5. Complex future tense - rules 6. Complex future tense - usage 7. Issues of verbal tense and kategorií času a způsobu při interpretaci textu 8. Importance of word order - change of meaning in adjectives according to their position in a sentence 9. Sequence of tenses and its influence on textual interpretation 10. Numerous conjunctions and conjunctive phrases in Portuguese 11. Influence of the morphological category of gender on semantic interpretation of words in a text 12. Collocations - its morphological and lexicological attributes and their influence on textual interpretation

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to master the usage of the following grammatical phenomena based on the given normative grammars, followed by their practical application through language analysis of chosen texts.
Students will enrich their vocabulary (phraseology, technical terms, colloquial expressions, etc.) and improve their understanding of written texts.
