This course provides an overview of the diverse Portuguese-speaking regions of the African continent, focusing on the two largest Portuguese-speaking countries, Angola and Mozambique, from the perspectives of geography, politics, religion, and culture. Lectures, delivered in the form of presentations, are supplemented by audiovisual recordings. Seminars are devoted to discussions of academic texts in Portuguese and student presentations on selected topics.
